Checking the Trust Centre settings when having Word issues.
Open a Word document and go to File-Options-Trust Centre-Trust Centre settings-File Block settings and ensure that Word 97 Binary Documents and Templates is not checked.
If it is checked, uncheck it and OK. You may need your IT department to do this.
