Global search

Overview

Global Search is an AI-powered feature located in the application header that allows you to quickly find and access key records across the system from one place.

With Global Search, you can:

  • Search across multiple record types in one place
    Find Patients, Appointments, Invoices, Serial Numbers, and more using a single search bar.

  • Open records instantly
    Select a result to navigate directly to the corresponding record.

  • View connected information
    Related records (for example, a device and its invoice) are grouped together for easier navigation.

  • Search with minimal input
    Results begin to appear after entering just three characters.

  • See only relevant results
    Results are automatically filtered based on your user role and location permissions.

  • Use keyboard shortcuts
    • Open search: Ctrl + F
    • Close search: Esc

Searchable data

Global Search includes the following entities:

  • Leads and Patients
  • Appointments
  • Quotes and Trials
  • Invoices (including Fast Track), Delivery Notes, and Credit Notes
  • Serial Numbers

You can search using:

  • Names
  • Document numbers
  • Serial numbers
  • Contact details
  • Other relevant identifiers
Search results display key details such as name, date, status, and location, and allow direct access to the record.

  1. Click the search icon  in the application header or use the hotkey combination Ctrl + F.
  2. In the search bar, start typing a name, number, or identifier.
  3. Results will appear automatically as you type.


By default, all matching records are shown (the All filter is applied).

Filtering results

To refine your search results, select one of the available filters to focus on a specific type of record:

  • Patient
  • Sale
  • Product
  • Appointment



Opening a record

Click on any search result to open the corresponding record in its relevant module.



Notes
NOTES:
  • Search results depend on your user role and location permissions.
  • Some records (such as deleted or cancelled appointments) may be excluded from search results where applicable.
