How to Update Hearing Aid Serial Number After Repair in Manage

Overview

Update the hearing aid serial number in Manage when a repaired device is returned with a new serial number.


Preconditions
  • Repair Order has already been created
  • Patient record exists in Manage
  • User has access to the Equipment module

Procedure

1. Open Repair Order

  • Open the patient profile in Manage
  • Go to the Equipment section
  • Locate the existing repair entry
  • Select the repair entry
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋯)
  • Select Go to Repair Order

Validation:

  • Repair Order screen opens successfully
  • Correct repair record is displayed

2. Update Serial Number

  • Complete required fields in the Repair Order
  • Enter the new serial number in Enter new S/N

Validation:

  • Serial number entered correctly
  • No missing or incorrect characters

3. Save Changes

  • Click Save

Validation:

  • Updated serial number is visible in Repair Order and Equipment view

Result

The hearing aid record is updated with the new serial number in Manage.

  • Patient ID or name
  • Original serial number
  • New serial number
  • Hearing aid make and model
  • Repair Order number
  • Screenshots of any error messages

  • Always verify the correct repair record before updating
  • Ensure data accuracy before saving changes
