How To: Override A Schedule

Users may need to change or override a specialist’s schedule in the system. This typically occurs when there are temporary changes such as leave, shift adjustments, or special working hours that are not reflected in the default schedule.

Without applying an override, the system may continue to follow the existing schedule, which can result in incorrect appointment availability.

Steps to follow

Follow the steps below to apply a schedule override:

  1. Log in with an Admin account.
  • Ensure you have administrator access rights.
  1. Go to Environment Settings.
  2. Select Scheduler Settings.
  3. Click on Specialist.
  4. Locate and select the relevant specialist.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Add the schedule override:
  • Enter the new date and time range as required.
  • Ensure the override details are accurate before saving.
  1. Save the changes.

Once saved, the override will be applied to the specialist’s schedule.

Note: Moving forward, since you have admin access, you may apply schedule overrides directly using the same steps above.

Expected Outcome

After completing the steps:

  • The specialist’s schedule will reflect the overridden date and time.
  • Appointment availability will align with the updated schedule.
  • The system will no longer follow the previous schedule for the overridden period.

Escalation Criteria

Escalate the issue to second-level support if:

  • The override option is not visible under Scheduler Settings.
  • Changes are saved but the schedule does not update.
  • An error message appears when attempting to save.

For escalation, provide:

  • System name and version.
  • Specialist name.
  • Date and time of the attempted override.
  • Screenshots of the error message (if any).
  • Confirmation that admin access was used.
  • Steps already attempted.

Additional Notes

  • Only users with Admin access can apply schedule overrides.
  • Double-check the date and time range before saving to avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • If multiple overrides are required, ensure they do not overlap unless intended.
