Why Do Stock Adjustments Created During A Sale Appear In The Manual Stock Adjustment Report?
This is expected behaviour. Adjustments made when a new serial number is added on a sale change stock in the same way as a manual adjustment, so they are included in the report.
Why adjustments from a sale appear in the report
In Manage, there are two ways that a Manual Stock Adjustment can be made:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| Stock Details page | A user can create a stock adjustment. |
| On a sale | When a user adds a new serial number to the system. |
Both of these actions have the same underlying effect of modifying the available stock levels and serialized items in store.
As a result, adjustments created when a user adds a new serial number on a sale can appear in the Manual Stock Adjustment Report.
What does the release note mean?
The release note means that the following stock movements will not appear in the report:
| Movement type | Details |
|---|---|
| Product leaving stock | As the result of a standard invoice. |
| Item returned to stock | As the result of a credit note. |
These are regulated areas of the system.
The Manual Stock Adjustment Report is intended to report on areas where stock is being created or removed without the process of a purchase order.
