3000 Real Ear CA1 & CA1 HF

Overview

This document provides instructions for setting up, using, cleaning, maintaining and disposing of the 3000 Real Ear CA1/CA1 HF audiometric headphone, including safety information and calibration responsibilities. In this document, the headphone refers to both models, CA1 and CA1 HF, in all cable/plug variants. Where information applies to one model only, the model is indicated.

The headphone is an electro-acoustic transducer. It converts the electrical signal supplied by the audiometer or fitting unit into an acoustic signal presented to the patient's ear. It has no controls, no power source of its own and no signal-generating circuitry: the connected system determines every frequency, level and signal type, and the headphone neither amplifies nor attenuates what it receives.
